A very rare 18ct gold mechanical reversible two sided wristwatch by Cartier, Paris from the 1970's Price Available on Request
This truly beautiful fresh to the market yellow gold 1970’s wristwatch has two independently winding movements for the two dials, one with white enamel Paris dial, the other with a brush finish champagne dial also signed Paris. The watch is on a Cartier leather strap and has the gold Cartier deployant clasp.
This watch is in beautiful condition and has crisp French gold marks throughout and clean original dials.
The watch has recently undergone a full movement service by Cartier and so comes with the Cartier warranty paperwork from 2023. The watch measures 24 diameter x 35mm length.

The ‘Reverso’ model is often and long associated with Jaeger-Lecoultre however interestingly, Cartier also explored the concept of the reversible timepiece. In 1930, Cartier developed and patented a similar reversible case system, initially naming their watch the "Cabriolet Reverso" before adopting the now better known "Basculante”. This innovative approach to watch design didn't initially prove popular until much later, more notably in the 1970s when Cartier introduced the Tank Reverso , as seen here.
