His or Hers 18ct gold manual wind vintage Cartier Paris 'Tortue', Circa 1982

£3,950.00
sold out

A beautiful  and rare 18ct gold manual wristwatch in the more unusual Tortue or 'Turtle' shape, this is a true collectible. It's also a very wearable and elegant larger 27mm Width x 34mm height , making this watch a very sought after example.  The watch is sold with a Cartier box and guarantee card dated 1982.

The watch overall is in lovely condition for its age, with the case back numbers, French gold marks,  and Paris signature on both the dial and case in good clear order. Appears to be running well when wound.

The original dial is clean with some very faint crazing to the glaze just visible under a loupe, and as to be expected for a watch of this age. The strap is a later generic leather example and the 18ct gold buckle is possibly a replacement, with gold marks rubbed or obscured. Images are available on request.
